Beades of the Dorchester section of the city of Boston, who devoted his adult life to the service of the public and in particular to the needs of the people of Dorchester.

Beades was born in Dorchester in 1916.  He graduated from English High School, Suffolk University and Suffolk Law School.  He was a veteran of World War II and served in the Army from 1914 to 1944.  He was elected to the Boston City Council.  He was elected a State Representative and a State Senator. He later became executive assistant to the Metropolitan District Commissioner.  He died on May 1, 1978.
