United States Army 26 June 1925 – 21 September 1944 Robert Bass was born on June 26, 1925 in Roxbury, MA. Robert attended high school in Boston, graduating in 1942. He showed his love for our country when he was inducted into the United States Army on July 13, 1943, in Boston, MA. Sergeant (Sgt.) Bass proudly served our country with Company A 134th Infantry Division until he was killed in action in France on September 21, 1944. Sgt. Bass was awarded the Purple Heart for the heroism he demonstrated in his service to our country. He was survived by his mother, Mrs. Rebecca Bass of Dorchester, Ma.
